​Overview

Each year Windaroo Valley recognises and celebrates outstanding academic student achievement and exemplary student contribution to Windaroo Valley and our wider community, valuing effort, achievement, and success across a wide range of curriculum and non-curricula areas of student life.   

Windaroo Valley, with our community partners, recognise and appreciate the contribution of our students in the wider community. A number of special and community sponsored awards will be presented at our Academic Awards Ceremony to students whom have significantly contributed in their respective field. Students are invited to apply for our special and community awards which will be presented at the Academic Awards Ceremony.  

Nominations

This year nomination forms are available to students in QLearn. Students are encouraged to self-nominate for any awards for which they meet the criteria​. Please view each award below as they have specific selection criteria.   

Completed nomination forms are to be submitted via QLearn by Wednesday 15th October 2025.  *Nominations are now closed.  

The Special and Community sponsored awards which students can nominate for include:   



​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Academic Awards Ceremony - Rehearsal

To ensure a successful Academic Awards Ceremony evening, all students MUST attend the rehearsal, which will be held during the day of the ceremony  - Tuesday, 11 November 2025. Please see below for your allocated rehearsal time:

​Period 1 - Student Leaders

Period 2 - Years 7, 8 and 9

period 3 - Years 10, 11 and 12

Academic Awards Ceremony - Night

Date: Tuesday 11 November 2025

Location: Windaroo Valley SHS - Gymnasium

Student Arrival: 5:15pm (Students are required in the PA for roll marking)

Gymnasium Doors Open: 5:30pm

Awards Cermony Start: 6:00pm

Awards Ceremony Finish: Approx. 8:00pm - 8:30pm

1. Which uniform is my student required to wear?​ 

All students are required to wear their full Formal School Uniform to attend the event. If your student needs assistance with obtaining a uniform, they should speak with their Year Level Head of Department before the event.


 2. Can I find out which award my student has won?

Award recipient lists will be available on the windows at the Library and EC from Tuesday 28 October (2nd break). This list will not include the Special and Community Awards. These award winners will be revealed at the event.


Academic Awards - Parking

Due to the large number of guests attending the event, parking will be available both on surrounding streets and in limited designated areas within the school grounds. 

Please refer to the image below for details of the allocated parking zones within the school grounds, which will operate on a first-come, first-served basis.

If you enter the school grounds near the Administration building, please follow the red line to reach the Gynmasium.
