Windaroo Valley State High School offers scholarships to cover the cost of the Student Resource Scheme for students in Years 7. Types of scholarships include:
- Academic – for students who excel academically and meet the academic, behaviour and attendance criteria for the scholarship
- High Performance – for students who excel in a Sporting or Arts area and meet a specified sporting/cultural, behaviour and attendance criteria for the scholarship
- S.T.E.M – for students who excel and have an interest in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics
Students will be able to reapply each year for a new scholarship in Years 8 & 9.
Entry Criteria:
Academic Scholarship
Academic achievement in current year: English – A; Maths – A; All other subjects –B
Evidence of leadership activities
Participation in academic activities and competitions
High Performance Scholarship
Academic achievement in current school year: Sport / Music (area of interest) - A
All other subjects – C
Evidence of involvement in music or sporting activities
S.T.E.M Scholarship
Academic achievement in current year: Maths/Science – A/B
All other subjects – C
Evidence of involvement in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics activities Outstanding behaviour
Scholarship applications for Year 7 2025 need to be handed into the school administration office no later than 30 May 2024. Year 8 and 9 are due by 2 August 2024. Applications can be emailed to enrolments@windaroovalleyshs.eq.edu.au.
Students should attach certificates or other documentation to support application.
